The best part is? The margs AND guac totally complement each other, especially for your Cinco de Mayo feast! Want to kick it up a notch? Serve them with some tostones (fried green plantains). Unless you’re a weirdo like my friend Daniela who judges me every time I put that jalapeno in my drink. And obviously, served up with these Mango Lime Margaritas! The spicy jalapeno option, duh. It was surprisingly, ridiculously good you guys. And, being the guac freak that I am, I decided to mix them together. So, being difficult as usual, we asked if we could have both the toppings for the mango AND spicy guacamoles on the side. This time, our choices were the traditional, spicy, and mango. Finely grate or mince garlic and finely chop cilantro. Dice fresh mango, cucumber, red bell pepper, red onion, jalapeo pepper, and (see recipe footnote) avocado. Traditional? Spicy? Mango? That being said, all was eaten¿ but we had a very large xmas party so not entirely surprising! It just seemed to be missing "something"¿ maybe actually adding tomato would've done the trick? not sure. Flavors didn't really mesh together like a real guacamole¿ so it really just tasted like avocado with mango with onion with pomegranate with a kick. The mango adds sweetness and the pomegranates make it crunchy. Still prefer the original - but this is nice and slightly sweet when needed! A different take on a perennial favorite.
